PD for the team in the building.
Behavior-informed, neurodiversity-affirming training for teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, school staff, and admin. Built around the kids you actually have.
Behavior-informed training for the people in the building
Schools are where most behavior challenges first show up — and where most caregivers first hear the word “behavior” attached to their child. The classroom team is the most important behavior-support team a kid ever has, and almost none of them were trained for the role.
Schools & Staff Training gives the team in the building the same behavior-informed lens that a good ABA-trained provider would bring — in plain language, no jargon, and grounded in what you can actually do between bells.
Who this training is for
- Classroom teachers (general ed, special ed, pre-K, elementary, middle, high)
- Paraprofessionals and aides
- School counselors, behavior specialists, and social workers
- School nurses and front-office staff
- Bus drivers and lunch/recess monitors
- Principals, APs, and district leadership
- Substitute teachers
What we cover
- Behavior is communication — reading the function behind the behavior instead of just the behavior itself
- Antecedent strategies that prevent the next blow-up — transitions, visuals, sensory tools, schedule design
- Reinforcement that actually works — not sticker charts that fall apart by October
- De-escalation in a classroom of 22 kids — without losing the rest of the room
- Working with IEPs and 504s — reading them, implementing them, and documenting fidelity
- Talking to caregivers — the call home that builds trust instead of damaging it
- Para and teacher coordination — so the same kid doesn’t get three different responses in a single day
- Supporting autistic and ADHD students without singling them out
Formats
- Professional-development day session (half or full PD day)
- After-school workshop series — 4 to 6 weekly 90-minute sessions, often with PD or CEU credit through the district
- Grade-level or department in-service
- Principal & admin briefing — for leadership teams setting building-wide behavior strategy
- Para and aide intensive — targeted at the people who spend the most one-on-one time with the highest-need kids
Share a few real (de-identified) situations from your building ahead of time, and the role-plays will use those. PD that talks about “a typical autistic learner” isn’t useful. PD that talks about your classroom is.
Investment
Training pricing is set per engagement based on group size, format, and travel. Title funding, parish-wide cohorts, and multi-school packages are welcome — reach out with what you’re working with and we’ll build a proposal that fits.
